How to install 10 meter radios

10 meter radios are a complete package altogether. These devices ensure such reliable and sturdy communication facilities that no other navigator or communication device can even think of matching. Amazingly, if we talk about the 10 meter radios, they excel in all their basic qualities in addition to offering many other mind-blowing features that you can only expect to see in the most expensive 10 meter radio brands nowadays.
If we look at the 10 meter radios closely, their performance and range depend on many different factors. One of the most important among these is the correct and error-free installation of the device at your selected place. The installation process includes many technical details that are must to be understood before you step into the process yourself. Then it is highly imperative that you install your 10 meter radio without compromising on the accuracy of any of the steps that we are going to discuss below:
  1. First unpack your 10 meter radio and other add-ons along with the Stryker instruction manual that will be there inside the pack separately. Go through the manual carefully and consult the Stryker technical team wherever you get confused. Do some research work and get a thorough understanding of the process before getting on with it.
  2. Inspect the coax cable and other connecting wires carefully for any cracks or crevices in the outer insulation. If you find any such flaw in the cable, quickly get a new one.
  3. Mount the 10 meter radio and antenna at the spots that are most effective for achieving a good range for your systems.
  4. Now interconnect them with the coax cable after properly routing it through your car. Make sure the routed cable doesn’t leave your car messy and appearing like a wire trap.
  5. Keep everything turned off. Start tuning the antenna with the help of a SWR meter till the time you obtain the most acceptable reading across all the channels.
  6. Now carefully turn the 10 meter radio system on and test it several times before you put your system to work.
These steps are simple to remember and perform if you stick to the professional instructions given in the Stryker manual. Make sure that you keep everything well-planned and executed for getting the desired outcome from your 10 meter radio.
